Terms of Service

Accountability Bros is a fitness, nutrition and accountability app. You keep an account, you log what you do, and — if you join a squad — the people in it can see your check-ins.

The service is operated by Dinotics LLC, and your agreement is with Dinotics LLC. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Dinotics LLC.

You need an invite code to create an account while the service is in its invite-only period. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.

Give us accurate information. Do not impersonate someone else, and do not create an account for someone else without their knowledge.

You must be at least 18 to use Accountability Bros. If you are under 18, do not create an account. We close accounts we find to be under the minimum age.

The drinks and blood-alcohol features are intended only for users who are of legal drinking age where they live, which in some places is older than 18. Section 5 sets out what those estimates are and are not.

Some features require a paid subscription. The price, billing period and currency are shown to you before you buy and are the terms of that purchase. Pricing differs between the website and the App Store, because the App Store charges a distribution fee.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You are charged at the start of each period.
• Cancel any time. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• If you bought on iPhone, manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. We cannot cancel an App Store subscription for you.
• If you bought on the web, manage or cancel it in Settings → Pro.
• Pro follows your account, not your device. Buying on one platform gives you Pro everywhere you sign in.

The free tier never loses your data. Pro changes what is computed and displayed for you. It does not change what we store, and letting Pro lapse does not delete anything you logged.

Refunds

• Your first web subscription purchase: if you ask within 14 days of that purchase, you get a full refund.
• Renewals after that are generally not refundable, except where the law requires it or where we approve a refund at our discretion. Cancel before a renewal date if you do not want to be charged for the next period.
• Bought on iPhone? App Store purchases are refunded by Apple under Apple’s own refund process. We cannot refund an App Store purchase, and we cannot overrule Apple’s decision on one. Request it through Apple.

To ask for a web refund, email billing@accountabilitybros.ai from the address on your account, and tell us which plan and roughly when you bought it. You can also use Profile → Feedback & Support in the iPhone app.

Web payments are sold and processed by Stripe. For web purchases Stripe is the seller of record: Stripe takes the payment, issues the receipt, and calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT due. Stripe reviews and processes refunds and payment disputes under its own processes.

So the policy above is what we apply and what we ask Stripe to apply — but we do not control every refund outcome. A decision may rest with Stripe, or with your bank or card issuer, and we cannot overrule them.

None of this reduces your statutory rights. Consumer-protection law in your country may give you cancellation or refund rights that override this policy — the EU and UK in particular set a floor that a policy cannot contract out of. Where the law gives you more than this section does, the law wins.

You own what you write. You give us permission to store and display it so the product can work — showing your message to your squad, for example.

Do not post content that:

• attacks people for who they are, including slurs and hate speech;
• sexually harasses anyone;
• threatens anyone credibly;
• targets a person with abuse;
• is illegal, or infringes someone else’s rights.

Messages pass a server-side filter that refuses that material. It deliberately permits ordinary profanity and trash talk — this is an app about friends roasting each other, and the line is drawn at abuse, not at swearing. The filter is a reviewed word list, not a comprehensive system, so reporting and blocking exist alongside it. You can report content and block any user from within the app.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break this section.

Blood-alcohol estimates are a feature of the Accountability Bros website. The iPhone and Apple Watch apps do not calculate, display or provide a blood-alcohol figure. They can record an alcoholic drink the way they record any other food or drink — for its calories — and nothing more.

Do not use the blood-alcohol figure on the website to decide whether you can drive. It is a projection from what you told us and your body weight. It cannot know your actual blood alcohol. It is not a medical device, not a breathalyser, and not a legal determination. If you have been drinking, do not drive.

Calories, macros, micronutrients, body metrics, training suggestions and anything else the app calculates are for general information. They are not medical advice, and they are not a substitute for a doctor or a dietitian. Talk to a professional before making significant changes to how you train or eat, especially if you have a health condition.

Where you share data with a nutritionist through the app, that relationship is between you and them. We provide the plumbing, not the advice.

You train at your own risk. Only you can judge whether a weight, a movement or a session is appropriate for you on a given day. Stop if something hurts.

We try to keep the service running and to keep your data safe, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you paid for, that affects your subscription and we will say so at the time.

You can delete your account at any time from within the app — Profile → Delete account on iPhone, or Settings on the web. What happens to your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel that in your App Store account settings.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to by law.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

11.1 General disclaimer

Accountability Bros is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dinotics LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that information provided through the service will always be complete or accurate.

11.2 Health, fitness, nutrition, and wellness information

Accountability Bros is a fitness, nutrition, wellness, and accountability tool. It is not a medical service and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice.

Workout recommendations, nutrition information, hydration information, health-related calculations, progress estimates, and other wellness information may be based on information you provide, third-party data, automated calculations, or artificial intelligence and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you. Consult an appropriate healthcare professional before beginning or materially changing an exercise, nutrition, or wellness program when appropriate for your circumstances.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services rather than relying on Accountability Bros.

11.3 Alcohol and BAC estimates (website only)

Blood alcohol concentration estimates are provided on the Accountability Bros website only. The iPhone and Apple Watch apps do not produce them. Where such an estimate is provided, it is an approximation only. Individual alcohol absorption and impairment vary substantially, and no estimate produced by the service can determine whether a person is sober, impaired, safe to drive, or safe to perform any other activity.

Do not use Accountability Bros to decide whether to drive, operate machinery, participate in hazardous activities, or make any other safety-critical decision. When in doubt, do not drive or engage in the activity.

11.4 AI-generated and third-party information

Some features may use artificial intelligence or information supplied by third-party services, including food, nutrition, location, recipe, product, and other databases. Such information may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or generated content that is inappropriate for your circumstances.

You are responsible for reviewing information before relying on it, including ingredient, allergy, dietary, nutrition, safety, and location information.

11.5 Assumption of ordinary risks

Physical exercise, dietary changes, alcohol consumption, outdoor activities, and other activities recorded or suggested through Accountability Bros may involve inherent risks. You remain responsible for your decisions, physical activities, food consumption, alcohol consumption, and use of information provided through the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11.6 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dinotics LLC and its officers, members, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, Accountability Bros.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of Dinotics LLC for all claims arising out of or relating to Accountability Bros or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

1. the amount you paid for Accountability Bros during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
2. $100 USD.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory on which a claim is based and even if we have been advised that a loss was possible.

11.7 Exceptions and non-waivable rights

The exclusions and limitations in this section apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

They do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability arising from fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence where it cannot lawfully be limited, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory or consumer rights you may have under the law that applies to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

There is no mandatory arbitration clause in these terms, and no class-action waiver. We have deliberately not asked you to give up the right to go to court or to take part in a class action.

If you are a consumer, choosing Illinois law does not take away the protections of the law where you live that cannot be waived by agreement, and it does not remove any right you have to bring a claim in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
